Moss Landing, California
A Photography Retreat
on Monterey Bay
Three nights, two private mornings on the water, and the bay's calm estuary at golden hour. Four photographers, one boat, and me running the coaching from the first frame to the final edit.

I run a six-passenger boat out of Moss Landing and I have spent a decade photographing this bay. This weekend is built to put four photographers in the best light Monterey Bay has, with real coaching at every step, not just a seat on a boat.

The weekend
Arrive and gather
Check in at the Inn at Moss Landing Point. Intro dinner at Lemongrass to meet the group and walk through the plan.
Private whale watch, 9 AM
Four hours on the water, just our group. Dockside lunch after, then an evening review: culling the morning, editing, and Lightroom together.
A second morning, then the slough
Another private 9 AM whale watch to put the first day to work. Late afternoon on the calm water of Elkhorn Slough at golden hour for otters, seals, and birds. Farewell dinner and a look at everyone's best frames.
Slow morning
Coffee, an optional sunrise wander at the harbor, and easy goodbyes.
